DS is 14 and he came to me last night in a worry that all of his friends are taller than him and have cracking voices (voices are going deeper not that they are cracking as in good lol). At 14 is this a cause for concern and should I see our GP or am I just overthinking?

Statistically, doesn’t someone have to be the last boy in the class whose voice breaks?

I suppose so yeah didn’t think of it like that, one of those situations though of ‘why does it have to be me’

it could be that he is starting to change but you just won’t be aware?

I don’t really know what to be expecting as he’s my oldest but I don’t think so

Is he just 14? Im sure i read that if there are no sign of puberty in boys at 14 then a visit to the GP is in order. If he is just 14 i would give it a few months, nearly 15 then yes i would see GP
