To think public teeth cleaning is gross

Ok so if you're on a long flight and at a transit airport maybe you have no choice except to use a bathroom with people around

BUT if you're staying in someone's house why would you walk around the living room and kitchen cleaning your teeth and trying to talk at the same time???

I don't think it's gross, but completely unnecessary.

I think it's fine at home, wouldn't do it at someone else's house but I'm not bothered if someone does it at mine.

A private house isn't 'public'.

Gross! I hate seeing people brush their teeth. The spitting, hauk tuh sound. Makes me want to vomit. I always brush my teeth in private.

Horrible. I can’t stand the smell or the sight.

(This is something that seems to happens in every film too - why the teeth brushing scenes?!😩It makes me want to gag.)

Haha I thought it was just me. I absolutely hate it with two people having a conversation while brushing their teeth 🤢

I look like a rabid dog when I'm brushing my teeth, I just don't seem to be able to "contain" all the froth, inside my mouth.Blush Blush DH always laughs at me, I'd never do it in any remotely public place

Your post is a bit confusing with regards to what you mean by public. Cleaning teeth in a public toilet where there is a row of basins and isn't queue full of people is fine but walking around someone's home or while sitting on public transport, at office desk or restaurant table is beyond gross..however some Euro cultures consider toothpick after dinner at the dinner table normal.

ridl14 · 28/09/2024 23:15

Oh yeah I wouldn't do that. I have brushed them after a long flight in the airport toilets or in toilets in a restaurant/gym (trying to hide it) when my morning sickness was hitting badly. But I did feel very self conscious
