i mean...I think it is bloody unreasonable of the wasp.

I just woke up to a sharp pain in my upper thigh. Thought I had been bitten. Flung off the duvet and put the light on. .. and there's a sodding tiny wasp on the floor.

My leg is on absolute fire now and it really hurts.

I mean ... The middle of the night, in bed, in nearly October and the window is shut. What the hell? I'm in agony and need to go back to sleep as I've got to get up for work in 4 hours. 😭

I've done the vinegar thing but it is still hurting like hell.

Is this an omen? What the HELL?!

Had to share with someone, if anyone is up. Ow...ow...owwww.

The same happened to me!! 1:30am and I’m in the pits of sleep, heard a buzz so threw the duvet over my head. Only to feel a hot needle in my forearm, flipped the light on and there’s a wasp in my bed! I can only imagine it was on its last legs which is why it was on the prowl. When we moved in we found a massive (empty) nest in the loft, I’m thinking they might be trying to get back to it hence why they’re coming inside. I feel your pain OP 😭

Much better today thank you. No other insect incidents this week thank goodness.

I forgot to mention the false widow that fell in my bath last week too. 😂

Isn't September peak wasp time?

I always assumed that they were peak summer creatures, but obviously not.

I was stung on the wrist in the Summer when a wasp got caught in my bracelet. It hurt like hell. Stick a plaster over the sting. It'll help draw out the stingy stuff.

I feel your pain! At the beginning of September we noticed a lot of wasps around our office but as it's an old building we had no idea where they were getting in or where a likely nest would be. As the weather was still really warm I was wearing open sandals and I was in a corridor talking to a colleague one afternoon when I felt something stabbing the underside of my foot, like I'd stood on an open staple or something. Looked down and saw what I thought was one of the wasps, still attached to my foot, so I pulled it off and squashed it. Except it had left the sting and the poison pouch still in my foot so in all of those wasps a random bee had got me. My god the pain! It literally took my breath away. The pain and swelling must have lasted a week, to the point I couldn't sleep. And I still have a lump in my foot 4 weeks on despite getting everything out.
Only the second time I've ever been stung, the first time was in Mexico years ago when I didn't see the bee on my beach towel and sat on it...😱
