To expect that things in an NCT Nearly New Sale should be in exactly that condition?

because I went to one today and it was chock full of stuff and buyers but there were some items which were clearly on its last legs and some clothes were stained and not even washed and ironed. If one is going to sell stuff at the NCT sales then one should make an effort to present things in sell-able condition. I made sure I only picked the best things to sell, some were even BNWT.

The mystery deepens. It wasn't anything controversial at all, just a very normal comment. But not made by me! I have told Mumsnet, which is presumably why it was deleted. They think it might have been someone in my household, which basically means my husband as neither my 2 year old or 4 month old can type yet; but if he was going to do it he would have done something silly or amusing, not a fairly bland comment about NCT sales!!

Think I had better check with him anyway just in case....

Boogie - I went to our local one and it was just as you describe. Clothes were on their last legs and not ironed and stained and mostly Tesco cheapo so the prices weren't that much less than new would be. Stuff I'd chuck out. My SIL however says her local one is really good, lots of good quality clothes in great condition. She's dressed my niece in stuff from there for years.

I guess it depends who is running it and what they get given to sell on the day. When I did sell stuff at one NCT sale, it was great condition and I put reasonable prices - it nearly all went. When I looked around though, I realised that others were really taking the mick with their prices! Like you say, supermarket or primark stuff at more than it cost new.
