Why sit in the kids section if you don’t want to be around kids

Sat having lunch in Ikea with my Dd, very quiet, not many people and lots of free tables inside and out. We’re sat in the kids area, Dd is playing.
Oldsr couple chooses to come and sit on a table nearby.
Couple starts tutting and complaining under their breath about the kids making some noise (not excessive) whilst they play

Why would you sit in a kids area, if you didn’t want the noise of kids 🤷🏻‍♀️

Annoying.

In this case, not particularly, because "Sat having lunch in Ikea" is also not the correct way to indicate that the incident took place on Saturday.

Everybody else managed to understand the OP just fine. It's only ever a small amount of posters that like to point out spelling or grammatical errors.

I guarantee hundreds of posters will also have noticed it, felt equally frustrated but said nothing.

@Silvers11 Yeah that's what I've always done, never eaten in the cafe. Thankyou though! I'm not near one now so may have to order online

Of course disabled people can be annoyed, they have a disadvantage that means they have no other option. That doesn't mean they have to be happy about being forced to sit with other peoples children.

You could fly first class or business class. Or charter a private plane. It's not the airline's fault if you can't afford those options. It's not the fault of the families flying with children either. Hopefully you keep your outrage to yourself when you fly, and refrain from rudeness to your fellow passengers.

No, it’s odd. It’s like people sitting in designated smoking areas, and then moaning about people smoking.

Best ignored. 🙂

You've reminded me....

We have a smoking shelter at work with a couple of A frames in there (pub restaurant),clearly signed. It says "please only smoke here as our beer garden is smoke free" as obviously people want to eat outside in the summer. Had a couple sit IN the shelter and order food then complained about the smokers. Even left a review in Facebook and got ripped to pieces by our regulars haha!
