To ask what to do with toddlers in Shropshire

My husband organised a family weekend away with MiL, SiL her husband and three year old and crazy puppy, him,me and our wild 2 year old. I think it’s lovely that he wants us all to spend time together and has found a place for us to stay, but I’ve just seen the place he booked and it is TiNY (like a small caravan). We are going to go stir crazy and I’m now terrified. Please send me your suggestions of things to do in the area (near Iron bridge). We need activities to tire out the toddlers, ideally something to tire out the dog too, and one or two nice things for the adults?! We’re going to have to be out all day long, so any ideas would be hugely appreciated (& let’s hope it doesn’t rain 🙀). Nightmare.

Telford town park

I'd recommend the Severn Valley railway.
There's a playground at the engine house by Highley station (plus a big blue engine called Gordon)
Opportunities to feed waterfowl on the river in Bridgnorth and Bewdley (within walking distance of the stations)
Cliff railway in Bridgnorth
Opportunity to spot animals (from the train window) at safari park near Bewdley station plus in fields on route.

Are you talking next weekend? It's the Ludlow Food Festival.

Wonderland in Telford Town Park - https://wonderlandmidlands.co.uk/
Cosford RAF museum if they'll like seeing the planes?
Apley Play barn

There are various National Trust around there.

Hoo Zoo. The toddlers will love it! Great value for money

Attingham Park (national trust) has a nice play area.
Telford Town Park
Do not climb the Wrekin.

If the weather is OK, ironbridge is lovely, you can get fish and chips and ice cream, and there's ironbridge gorge festival running at the moment. The Enginuity museum is aimed at children specifically, so worth checking out, theres also Blists Hill museum which usually has some child friendly stuff going on.

Wonderland, the Exotic Zoo, the ice rink and soft play are all right next to the town park, which is really very good.

If you want to drive a little bit, Attingham park has a field of play which is brilliant for kids, as well as loads of space to explore and run around. It's national trust, and has good cafes as well. National trust wise there is also Dudmaston hall.

Telford has a massive indoor softplay called jungle land if you need indoor entertainment. There's also Hoo Zoo and dinosaur world which is very enjoyable for kids who like animals.

Speaking of animals, West Midlands safari park isn't too far away in Kidderminster, and as someone else mentioned there is the Severn valley railway from bridgnorth as well.

I've been to all these places with my kids, they've enjoyed them all. We live not far from where you will be, so know the area well.

The official forestry people (now called Forestry England, which I think is a rubbish name) have got a tie-in with The Gruffalo. The nearest trail to you is Haughmond Hill which is approx 20 miles / half an hour away.

Exotic Zoo - in Telford Town Park. Cheap as chips to get in!

And as a pp said, Hoo Farm in North Telford.

Also Apley Wood - near to Princess Royal Hospital. Free, and lots of places to explore. (Also some pools there.)

Nice walk up the Wrekin can be had (there are designated footpaths.)

Or there are a couple of wacky warehouses if it's raining.

And an ice rink.

Big indoor play area inside Telford Shopping centre, and also a bowling alley.
