To not understand Lidl clothing

I don't mean normal looking clothes from Lidl but the Lidl branded t-shirts and trainers that seem to be popular with young people. This isn't a judgement thing - people can wear what they like but young people like that are so image conscious it clearly has some kind of cultural meaning, I have no idea what that is though, can anyone shed some light?!

My duaghters that normally are really picky about clothes love the lidl sliders.

They were both excited too when Tesco did similar.... Mad.

My DS loves it. He thinks its hilarious. He gets commented on his Lidl socks a lot ))

Greggs and Tesco have done similar

I bought a 'Tesco Finest' onesie for DD when she was born (I thought 'Tesco Basics' would have been a bit mean 😂)

I think it’s irony… Lidl is cheap but works so why spend more.

Strangely, I was wondering the same recently when I pointed out ALL the branded crap to DH and said 'who on earth would buy this???'
