Yes OP I agree. I think it's lots of things. Too many people, too many cars on the road, walking has become a minefield with bikes whizzing by every couple of minutes. Houses built too close together so lots of noise from kids, DIY etc getting on peoples nerves. It feels more and more difficult to get some space and peace to yourself. Lots of angry, driving up your bumper drivers (often women I'm surprised to say). House Prices going up and the rental crisis making renters feel insecure and scared. People on ladder can't get up the next rung because prices keep going up so people are living in houses too small for them with no storage space and pocket size gardens overlooked by a zillion other houses.
Lots of us seem to have lost our ability to read a book and zone out that way and instead do things like read mumsnet which is interesting but more of real life and problems.
People are scared and angry because they know if they get sick they can't get a GP and queues at A&E are huge. Dentists are all going private so if you don't have money you are screwed.
All the good systems which the UK had over the years seem to be disappearing - free healthcare, good education for all, dentist for all, homes for all, good manners and consideration for others, decent customer service, available tradesmen who were reliable
Oh and more of us are fat and consuming too much sugar and UPF. As a fat person myself it makes you more tired, more grumpy and just more bad tempered in general.
I've definately noticed a difference in the last few years
