So Joe wicks is on telly advertising this, seemingly, fantastic initiative.

As a school administrator I’m always keen to sign up for ANY additional funding we can get. This will cost the school a minimum of £109 to sign up (it depends on the number of pupils).
How many parents will be swapping their regular shop to ASDA in the belief that they are helping raise funds for their DCs school? The system already has ALL the state schools in the U.K. on the list and it shows that my school already has funds raised but we won’t access it as we don’t have spare funds to sign up to the scheme. Any money not claimed by any schools goes back into another fund and will go to other schools. They claim that qualifying schools can have a free registration but they give no way of finding out how to qualify. I tried calling the helpline but was just told that the cost is a sliding scale starting at £109.
I think ASDA should indicate that schools are having to PAY to release the funds raised which could actually be less than the registration cost.
