It's me and a mate we in our forties
Love love Christmas and have seen on comments reviews adults do go alone

My mate said it's a kids thing if we go, we be pedophjles - fuming about this,
Adults tickets are sold without kids ones?

Would you be mad?

Its not my sort of thing but my sister and grown up niece go every year. They love it! Deffo not just for kids.

Theunamedcat · 07/09/2024 20:16

I went last year there were adults with no children
Adults with children too young to be excited or even interested
Adults with children who were terrified

Etc etc

Just say hello to santa and don't forget your bell

I wouldn't have thought that at all. How sad. Christmas should be open to magic for everyone, not just kids.

greenlight2 · 07/09/2024 20:36

We went last year, yes there was a lot of people with small children but I also noticed a lot of just adults with friends and couples too. I don't think anyone thought anything strange about it. It was great fun and I would love to do it again when older without the kids.

Jeezitneverends · 07/09/2024 20:40

My son and his girlfriend (early 20s) went last year and loved it

So your friend thinks you are a paedophile for going to a Polar Express train ride?

They sound like a right idiot.

Adults are fine to go without children

Do they think adults that go to Disney Land without children are also paedophiles?

It seems like there's a market for them to run an adults-only service at the end of each evening!

I idly put in details for 4 of us to go to Lapland UK ( my DC are adults but still my DC) I really just wanted to check the prices .

Would not proceed with my booking as there were no children .

That's me told then !

TBF , the message said something like "this is a magical experience designed for children" so I suppose they don't really want adults going as a group with no child , it would change the whole dynamics of what they are trying to achieve .

If I wanted to emerge us all in Christmas Atmosphere I could take us to Lapland ? (Though I don't think they'd appreciate it Xmas Grin )

MrsToothyBitch · 08/09/2024 14:46

Haven't done this one but we've done the Christmas light special on our local heritage steam train. Billed as family (ie kid) friendly but plenty of groups without children having a lovely time.

I say go - Christmas is for everyone.
