It’s still in the fridge - we haven’t been at home the last few nights and I just didn’t fancy it last night.
if I re- heat in the oven will it bd ok for this evening?

Yes !

Fahran · 04/09/2024 11:52

It will be fine cold or reheated.

murasaki · 04/09/2024 11:53

It will be very dangerous. I suggest you send it to me so that I can dispose of it safely for you. 😆

BabaYetu · 04/09/2024 11:53

Of course!

DappledThings · 04/09/2024 11:57

Of course!

KreedKafer · 04/09/2024 12:02

Of course it will be OK.

Thistooshallpass24 · 04/09/2024 12:03

You will need extra custard though! I love blackberry & pear crumble ( I can't eat apples)

HowardTJMoon · 04/09/2024 12:06

Sorry, I have a vital question - what do you mean by "I just didn’t fancy it last night"? I mean, I understand each individual word but taken together it's a sentence that doesn't seem to make any sense whatsoever.

LlynTegid · 04/09/2024 12:11

Are you aware that you can only eat a certain amount in your lifetime? I cannot have any more after being at university and having various varieties of crumble three times a week. The university missed a business opportunity though, as it would have made a very good glue for anything!!!

DiscoBeat · 04/09/2024 12:13

Definitely! We just polished off the last of Saturday's damson crumble for breakfast (with a dollop of creme fraiche).

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 04/09/2024 12:17

Of course

My husband's aunt is a wonderful woman, good cook, retired doctor and mother of 3. When she was working and had 3 boys to feed, as well as her husband on shifts, she used to cook all food for a week on a weekend or day off. and leave it in the fridge to warm up at the time it was needed. I took that on when I had my children... all family members raised on reheated food have been fine.

Putmeinsummer · 04/09/2024 12:20

God I need crumble now and cannot get to the shops for ingredients. Thanks OP for ruining my life!

clary · 04/09/2024 12:22

@HowardTJMoon lol

I will also offer to eat it for you op as it sounds dangerous

Unless you have the required H&S crumble disposal certificate (amendment to the fridge based leftover act, 2024), i feel it would be safer with me for disposal.

I have that actually. Do you also have the necessary extensive selection of suitable bowls (but mysteriously, only one of each type?) plus selection of spoons so all can choose their fave?

I do. The OP may have to halve it and send a share to both of us.

Riapia · 04/09/2024 13:10

This is clearly an obvious stealth boast.

PashaMinaMio · 04/09/2024 13:16

i picked over a kilo of blackberries. I scrumped through nettles to get to a fallen but fruitful Bramley apple tree.
I made a huge crumble for expected family meal.
Meal didn’t happen.

I ate mine over five maybe six nights!
Sometimes cold straight from fridge.
Other times dolloped into a cereal bowl, microwaved, with ice cream of plain yoghurt.
Eat it.

I’m not sure if this is a joke or not?!

Shut up!! 😂

Ihateslugs · 04/09/2024 14:07

Week old crumble straight from the fridge is a perfect breakfast for someone on a diet - I am an expert on crumbles!

On a side note, does anyone else really dislike the crumble served in some pubs and restaurants whiners they just add the crumble mix to stewed fruit and grill the top? The crumble just doesn’t stick together and the ratio of fruit to crumble is all wrong!

It’s like ‘leftover wine’ What even IS that? 😄

I think Delia recommended freezing it in ice cube trays for cooking. Freeze what now?

LlynTegid · 04/09/2024 14:08

I think yoghurt is a good idea and better than custard.

I thought of 'crimble crumble'.

I cannot imagine Nigella doing that with wine, even the concept of leftover wine!!
