Doona buggy on Easyjet

Kat256M · 31/08/2024 16:12

To ask if anyone has tried bringing a doona buggy on an easyjet flight? I mean actually strapping it on the seat. Baby is 16 months but we bought him a separate seat anyway so that we have more space. And no poor person next to us for my baby to annoy like last time.

I thought we could just fold doona as a car seat and he could sit/sleep there when he was tired. But my husband noticed that is says Easyjet accepts on forward facing carseats-not backwards. Customer suppprt on the phone are useless.

Anyone has already done it and can share if AIBU to try?

No it's not legal and you will be asked not to put your baby in it even after take off and landing. CAA rules are very clear on this unfortunately.

I took my kids seats on board when they were small but forward facing, they had to have CAA or FAA certification if I remember correctly. No extended rear facing then.

Do you mean the doona is not legal or in general car seats on airplanes? Because I can see a lot of articles about it, I am very confused

I found this on the doona website...maybe they are ok then?

"DoonaTM is the ideal solution for air travel and it has been certified by the US and European authorities for air travel."
