What can I do in the third trimester to make my life easier/happier?

At the start of my third trimester now and just thought I’d ask on here.

We’ve pretty much got everything for baby, but wondering what else we can do to prepare now we’re nearly on the 10 week countdown.

I still have a decent amount of energy some days.

How can I best put it to use? Batch cook meals? More date nights? Night away with DH? Any helpful/less frequently advised things I can do to make my life that bit easier when baby is here?

I’d just enjoy the time; to be honest!

Dates/meals out are still quite easy with a baby. We didn’t ever batch cook anything. You’ve probably done the more obvious stuff like putting some nappies in every room you’re likely to change baby in, a couple of spare vests, setting up a box with all your breastfeeding stuff in if you’re planning to breastfeed, etc. That stuff was useful!

Order a bunch of COOK food and stock up the freezer
Use a pregnancy pillow to sleep with
Sleep sleep and more sleep
Enjoy things you won't do for a number of years (if like me) - night at the cinema, night at the theatre, night at a restaurant, spa day etc

Definitely batch cooking meals. Also useful if you have in your freezer high energy snacks, especially if you will be breastfeeding. Like breakfast cookies, truffles made with nut butter and dates, etc. Maybe some cake!

Nesting will kick in but basically all the crap deep cleaning jobs and reorganising and declutterring that you can face - that stuff will be a lot harder for a few yrs.

But like you say, date nights and rest! So important. So somehow attaining some magical balance between all the above over the space of 10 weeks lol.

Depends on your scenario I guess. I have a lovely DH who is unfortunately a dreadful cook so it was on me to make sure my nutritional needs were going to be met!!

Meals out and meet ups with friends, and cinema and lie ins. Just enjoy that time where you can do what you want when you want.
Batch cooking is also a very good idea.
