AIBU to be worried about mosquitos

Currently abroad with DC's for the first time and we've been bitten by mosquitos. No signs of reaction so far but I googled it (stupidly) and am now terrified that they will catch something awful and I've never really looked at how meany diseases are spread by mosquitos. We're in corfu, is there anything I should be looking out for?

I got bitten by Tiger mozzies in N. Italy last month! I was quite worried as I’m pregnant and there was Dengue fever in the area in 2023, but I luckily seem to have swerved it. The bites are worse- they bite twice at a time so hurt more. Hate them! Just another climate change bonus I guess…

What country are you in OP?
You do need to worry in parts of Europe unfortunately nowadays and mozzies are rife in late summer however risk of infection from bite is low.
I would definitely buy some spray containing Deet or Picardin to avoid any more whilst away. Plus usual precautions light clothing, long sleeves, avoid being near shaded areas or standing water. Seek immediate advice if anyone bitten is unwell / displays high fever within the next 10 days. Enjoy the rest of your stay xx
