Imaginary friends!

Inspired by another thread, firstly if you could have an imaginary friend what would they be like and secondly did you or your kids have imaginary friends?

My friend would be like a 1950s mum who would remind me to do the basic things, it would be so helpful!

When I was a kid I wanted a dog but I was too embarrassed to acknowledge imaginary labradors so they kept disappearing.

My kid had an imaginary friend for about 6-12 months from age 3.5 onwards. She could do all the things kiddo couldn't, e.g. drive cars, fly planes etc. It was very much a case of Elevenarife. She then disappeared and was briefly replaced by twins. When asked what happened to the first one, kiddo would matter of fact say, "She not (a)live anymore"😱. One of the twins' names is now the name of kiddo's dolly.

Kiddo doesn't have imaginary friends anymore but does talk a lot of nonsense (in that it makes no sense/ isn't possible), which is the kind of thing the imaginary friend would have said previously.

Brutal 😆 poor imaginary friend couldn't have just moved away?!

My son had lots. They had very active and involved lives of their own, and were always ‘off to London to see people’, or clanking around the house in suits of armour.

I had an imaginary frog when I was 2. I made my mum go back on to a plane when I'd forgotten to bring my frog off with me. I love that she humoured me!

My eldest had Dog and Frog. She used to chatter away to them and they came everywhere with us. She doesn't remember them now. Makes me want to weep for those beautiful innocent days.

I'm going to assume it was @BaleOfHay s frog 🐸 because there can't be that many imaginary frogs!

My brother used to go off to live in Doodoon, when he'd had enough of us, to give it, it's proper name, doodoon mornay. We had endless fun asking him what happened when he visited.
