Does the paint need cleaning up?

My neighbour has been having some work done and one of the workmen has dropped a tin of paint right next to our driveway but not quite on our property. I heard him apologise and my neighbour telling him not to worry about it, all fine. But now we’ve got a big puddle of bright green paint that has been there for about 2 months now. Neighbour hasn’t mentioned it and I suspect doesn’t really notice it as it’s only visible if his car isn’t on his driveway. We however have to look at it whenever he’s out.

So my AIBU is: should we just suck it up, it’s only a bit of paint (YBU)
or should we ask him what his plans are to get rid of it (YNBU)?

Just to add I heard to workman offer to clean it up and neighbour told him not to worry so I get the feeling it’s going to stay there.

I think it would be weird to go round and ask your neighbor to clear up something that's not on your property

I think you might be right 😞it’s just such an eyesore and it’s right on the boundary (definitely his side of it though).

They should have let the builder clean it up, but probably easier all round if you just report it to the council and let them clean it.

Why would they clean it?

It’s on private property so I’m pretty sure it’s up to my neighbour to sort out if he wants to. I think I’m the only one bothered by it though!

I didn't realise until the OP said, that it was ok private land.

Even so, a few years back I had a load of graffiti drawn on my building and the council cleaned it off.
