Nothing fancy here. I always found Premier inn pillows really comfy when we were away. Have tried lord knows how many expensive options. Bought some about six months ago and haven't looked back.

Loaf pillows are amazing

Wool pillow. Heaven. The ones filled with little fluffy balls of wool. Easy to add or remove the stuffing to adjust . They manage to be soft, supportive and bouncy but not too much.

this is mine and I love it https://www.greenfibres.com/organic-wool-pillow-quilted they sell a bag of wool stuffing too.

I also have neck problems and have recently discovered the solution to be a good quality feather/down pillow that I can ‘arrange’ around my neck.

Watching. I’m really suffering with my neck at the moment. I’ve read good things about the Groove pillows.

#Team GROOVE

I was also going to add that my wonderful neurologist, whom I love quite a lot for prescribing me the monthly game changing migraine injections, was a leetle bit condescending about my search for the perfect pillow. He basically said that my sleep was buggered and pillows wouldn't make a difference and I should save my money as nothing would help. But the groove did help and continues to help. When the injections are wearing off I can go longer without pain.

Tempur. Expensive but don't lose the poofiness.

But avoid the crusty loaves, they really are quite uncomfortable. Chose a soft crust loaf with a high glycemic index as that can make one sleepy.

I have chronic pain from two bulging discs and cervical stenosis, and I do the same. Good quality, soft and pliable, feather/down pillows. Soft enough to squish up under my neck for support.

I'm currently using John Lewis ones, expensive but last me a long time:

I also suffer from neck pain and persistent migraines for which I am medicated. I have been through every single type of pillow in the known and unknown galaxies - ranging from the firmest Tempur to the softest goosedown and the most sustainable wool. Have spent £000s and been in despair.

The solution for me has been the Original Groove Pillow. www.groovepillows.co.uk/products/easy-sleeper?variant=31726559723606&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ax%3A17132666306%3A%3A&nb_adtype=pla&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=&nb_mi=142534107&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=SE00101&nb_ppi=&nb_placement=&nb_si={sourceid}&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=17132666306&utm_content=&utm_term=&gadid=&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwz7C2BhDkARIsAA_SZKaIAfUzN1QEhUxKeN7V8AW6tU9mbxswVRdB4tPHRz8piO5ErKdBoYQaAnyPEALw_wcB

I recently went away without it - disastrously, WTF was I thinking?? - and was gibbering at the prospect of coming back home to my.own bed. Would never previously have thought either my neck or head could have borne the pressure of a firmish pillow but this one supports in the right places without pressing in where it hurts.

Worth a go and I'll buy it off you if you hate it! I need another!

Another vote for the groove pillow. Still suffering from my holiday away from it too!

LittleRedYarny · 27/08/2024 12:17

I used to get neck pain and headaches as a side sleeper, spent a fortune on osteopath treatments that would fix the problem for a little while then it would reoccur. Then I bought a latex pillow from The Wool Room and haven’t looked back since.

Verv · 27/08/2024 12:24

Tempur comfort original standard pillow was a life changer for me. No more bad neck on waking.

Phloopey · 27/08/2024 12:34

The premier inn ones are worth a go. Not expensive and did the trick for me. I can't do feathers.

Like PP I think it's about the interaction with the mattress too. The right height of pillow depending on how far you sink into your mattress.

You need a water pillow: https://amzn.eu/d/9q6481v

Total game changer for my TMJ and neck pain. Recommended by my dentist.

I have this. I take it with me anywhere I stay overnight and rarely wake up with the neck pain headache now.
I did wonder how durable it would be but I have had it some years with no issues and my chiropractor approved

Beginningless · 27/08/2024 16:45

Mine is a Levitex one. The owner has various videos on socials about proper alignment. I love it so much, back pain reduced and happily it has stopped me snoring!!

MimiGC · 27/08/2024 17:11

Where can you get Premier Inn pillows?

I suffer neck and back pain. A physio once told me feather/down were best. I am very satisfied with M&S Feather and down (duck I think) and they aren't too expensive.

This ^

I was advised by a consultant that down/feather pillows are best as they mould to fit you.

I'm another fan of a wool pillow. Supportive and not too hard. Mine was from Woolroom and I got one that you can add/remove the filling, so that it suits me perfectly.

Absolutely these.
