I’m not into this whole Harry bashing thing. However he did seem to be marginalised at the odd lunch - the other 3 were on one table he was separated by a table leg and focused on his pudding.
He has changed and he does not look happy compared to how he looked before marriage. It’s not a few choice snap shots - it’s lengthy videos where his natural demeanor is melancholic and then he brightens up a bit eg when talking to kids - before looking sad again.
Also the DOS does seem to constantly hold his hand or grab him. She also seems to do all the talking. It’s actually quite humiliating for him inles he prefers it that way.
I think that by leaving the UK it was the final nail in any dynamics of him being equal in that relationship. He is the lap dog walking behind.
As they age and it begins to show they will lose any relevance whereas part of the RF he would always be relevant. At the moment the whole show trades on his royal status and her ‘glamour’s It’s all very sad and sad that it did not work out here in the UK. Like many I was excited by the marriage but now it seems disastrous like trying to push a round peg into a square hole.
If I were them I would find some truly worthy thing that they fill inspired about - Invictus is all they really have. These faux royal tours seem contradictory if H want more privacy and also I’m
not sure of the purpose.

Perhaps H now realises that there will be no more Windsor Castle Balmoral and even Highgrove. He will never properly represent the UK on the world stage. His kids will never have any cousins to play with. He will never mix so freely with true celebrities . Door will be permanently closed to him that were previously wide open. He won’t attend another coronation. He is to all extents exiled and other than brief flying visits can’t risk lengthy stays here for a multitude of reasons eg M simply won’t come anyway. A celebrities won’t want to offend the Crown as many like mixing here with royalty etc
His future life is mixing with B or C celebrities. I hope that he finds and has some decent friends to spend time with but he needs a proper job.
Actually I don’t wish him anything but good but it seems that Meghan wanted a type of life and was determined to gain that. If they had tried to make it work for 5 or more years fine but she bolted pretty swiftly taking H with her.
The excitement of the interviews, book and Netflix series have all died down. Now he is looking at a scene of utter devastation. His kids won’t even get to know their regal grandfather and cousins and will have no gloss of royalty. People will only be interested in them as the kids that were hidden away but no more.
He will also be getting to that stage in marriage where the novelty has died down and it depends on a stable relationship.
He and M need to work out a way forward as the current movement is one of declining status. I mean what next? A trip to North Korea?

@Noras - I’m completely with you on this and you’ve expressed it really well.
I did feel there was racism in the way some parts of the media treated Meghan and the Royal Family seems to have completely failed to provide any proper support. Their response to the comment that no media training was provided was that she had been provided with something to read.
The Royal Family seems to have been happy to let H and M flounder. M was rather quick to dash back to the States but I think the Royal Family could have prevented that if they’d stepped up. H showed proper loyalty to his wife (very much unlike his father) and followed her. Celebrities do seem to feel they need to choose between the Royal Family and H and M which in itself seems to be a damning indictment of family relationships within the Royal Family. And how could Prince Charles not make time for Harry when he visited recently? There seems to be such a wilful refusal to show understanding towards him from his own family, such unkindness.
