In feeling fed-up in having to always be me who looks after my ds's in the holidays and if they are ill????????

Due to totally inconsiderate schools - I have had to take the last 5 weeks off work in order to look after my 2 ds's. Work is piling up but I just have to put it to one side whilst my dp swans off every morning to work. He does nothing in the house - but does help out with the boys mornings and evenings. Just feeling really FED UP!!!

Your mistake was doing it in the first place. However, it's not too late the remedy the situation. Tell him you share it 50/50 and as you've already done 5 weeks he'll be doing the next 5 weeks.

We'd all rather be at work than at home with sick kids ffs.

Well it originally was that I would do the holidays and sick when possible as I actually had to go away for two days a week during University term time. Now I am working from home and only have to go in on a Friday during term time and therefore have to do all of it. I normally don't mind - but I am in the process of writing up my PhD and just need to get it completed - having to stop all the time is making it really drag out.

I think your dp needs reminding that they're his children too.

Can't you get your kids to holiday clubs?

My dh has to take annual leave when he looks after the children so if I worked from home I'd certainly be taking on that childcare or forking out for someone else to do it.

Did not have holiday club for ds1 as his holidays fall out of the parameter of the state system so he is at home. It has been lovely to be with them - but I am just feeling really fed-up with it today. Dp never even thinks about it. He has just told me that he won't be home again this evening - so its not even if I can catch up then!!!

Yes he is Pointy- and no there are no holiday clubs. They assume that we are all sahm, have a nanny or family to look after the children.
