Been babysitting for my sister since 10am. I love my nephews but I'm currently wishing I was deaf! The youngest one (5, 6 next month) hasn't stopped talking all day. He wants to play cars which is fine but he'll dictate what I do and tell me exactly what to say then get upset if I don't say it "right"!!!

We've been to the park and beach and even then he never shut up!

My sister is like you. My mum told me she was complaining about watching my children, I didn’t hold her to ransom or at gunpoint either, she said yes to babysitting using her own free will, knowing what they’re like, similar ages to as you have described.

she will take them out but it’s on her terms, but as for me asking her to babysit, never again.

Typical male 🙄😂😂
Don't give up! .......... Don't give in! ....... For God's sake - defend women's rights! 😂😬

I would have an early night to recover .............. or a very large bottle glass of wine.................... x

That's not me though. I love having them. He's just been over tired today and hadn't stopped waffling about trains, cars and trucks all day and my social battery had hit zero!

I have a 5 year old DS who is 6 next month. He never shuts up, sometimes I think my brain might start dripping out of my ears so I completely sympathise

I had to stop looking after my cousin's boys as I could not handle the constant talking and demands. Is this a new thing ? I don't remember my brothers being like this . Naturally I did not make any hurtful comments to my cousin about it .

EmptyTheFrickingBins · 23/08/2024 21:16

His brother was the same at the same age. I love them to bits, but he was even talking to me about his trains having a crash while I was using the loo!

We're going to a play farm tomorrow which is going to be fun 😁

Oh God my son is like this, absolutely adore him but he does not stop talking!! Even while I'm brushing his teeth he's trying to talk the whole way through!

Glad I'm not alone! He's a brilliant kid, clever and kind and funny but he does not have an off button!
