For not wanting toddler in own room when abroad?

Hi all,
We are looking at booking a holiday abroad next year. We will have a 3.5 year old and 1.5 year old twins

We've been looking at apartments with a family room so our 3.5 year old could have the single bed, and there would be space for two travel cots for the twins. Then my husband and I would be in the double bed. Cosy I know, but I just feel like I need to be close to all 3 of them when abroad.

We could spend our time in the living area and balcony once the kids are in bed for a few hours.

My husband wants to get a 2 bed apartment so our 3.5 year old can sleep in their own room. She sleeps in her own room at home, I dont know why but I just don't like the idea of her being alone in a room abroad. Some irrational fear of something happening to her...

Does the hotel have suites? Can you afford it?

if so might be a good solution.

There is nothing wrong with them having their own room be neurotic all you like but I don't see an issue

Thanks everyone.
2 bedroom it is. With travel safety locks and the baby monitor. 🤣

Have you thought about portable / travel door locks from Amazon? That way you can secure your room from the inside and have peace of mind?

Our dc have slept in their own room in
our holiday apartment every year since they were 2, but I have always taken the baby monitor and I take front and back door keys out the door.

I looked at taking the travel door locks with me too.

I would go for the 2 bedrooms anyway as it's always nice to have space even in the day for naps etc.

I hadn't no!! Thank you, that's a great idea

Agree about the travel locks, especially if they work on balcony sliding doors

@Kitkat1523 never heard of that one. Good job as we did it for years as my parents had one in France.
