To feel oddly pleased that the speeding ticket is for DH and not me?

An ominous looking letter came for me yesterday, I only opened it tonight once DH had gone out because I could tell it was a speeding ticket, and it was making me vvv anxious!

Looked at the date /time/place time - realised DH is the culprit!

I am extremely observant of speed limits but there has been a camera on my way to work a lot recently and thought I might have accidently gone 2 or 3 miles an hour over the limit.

Same DH has just had a go at me about
a)the cost of our DD's shoes, she only has one pair at a time (normal clarks ones), and
b) The cost of an IM I have booked to go through my labour notes with me, as I had a crash section under GA which was pretty grim - a frivolity obviously.

So, his ticket is going to be more than either of these

He does deserve at least a leeeetle bit of stick methinks.

Too blardy right, the tight git.

He's a right whinging nag at the moment, I'm looking after 12mo DD , working PT, and PG with #2, he should be a tiny bit nicer to me just now I reckon

Gawd Minnie, deja vu. My DH got a speeding ticket last week and I was in a right state waiting for him to come home from work and open the suspicious looking envelope. I've only been driving for six months and have already had a parking ticket (won't be listening to THAT particular friend's advice again...) Really worried that I'd done something that he'd crow about and I confess to being delighted when it was for him.

I've taken the pee for a few days, referred to him as 'Clarkson' etc, laughed at him while he stewed over the 'dirty brownshirts' who were hiding in a van and clocked him. I think he's more peeved because it was so justified.

We had two arrive on the same day a few months ago

One was for when I think I was driving - but it had been a day when we had both driven, but in all honesty, we weren't 100% sure who it was.

He ranted and raved and went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on....and this was when it only might have been me.

So you can imagine my joy when I realised the other one was DEFINITELY for him. I hadn't even driven the car until a week after that one!

Twas expensive and not fab to have to pay them, but opening the second one certainly shut him up.
