Have any of you had/ordered a Farage Cameo and how was it?

I've requested a Farage Cameo for my step mum's birthday (a big one.)

Have any of you ordered one for someone else or received one, and was it ok?

She loves Farage😂

Bloody hell.

I heard that he earned £16,000 last year from doing these and couldn't imagine who would be a big enough loser to want one.

Curious about your step mum now!

How much does it cost?

Hard to imagine, but some people seem to really, really like the frog-faced little rodent (I can't decide which he resembles more, apologies to frogs and rodents).

It really bemuses me. But then millions of people will apparently still vote for that orange criminal on the other side of the Atlantic, so what do I know.

ThatOneUncomfortableEyelash · 20/08/2024 13:15

Looked him up and noticed he's choosing to charge £69 a time. That wasn't a mental image I wanted in my mind at lunchtime.

This can't possibly be a thing?

Never has my username been more pertinent.

Ha, that gave me a chuckle. Also agree, what fresh hell is a world where people are paying Farage to do a cameo on anything except a sinking ship 🤷🏽‍♀️

ChallahPlaiter · 20/08/2024 09:47

No, I wouldn’t want to add to his huge income or encourage him to continue to exist in any way by doing that.

This.

Moreofthesamenothanks · 20/08/2024 22:39

Has anyone told the @GoodieMcTwoshoes it's a good thing or worth the money? I cannot Imagine people would actually want it, oh wait, the racists robbing corner shops, burning emergency vehicles and smashing their local neighbourhoods probably think he's great.

Anniegetyourgun · 20/08/2024 22:46

Maybe stepmother is into that kind of thing, but it's best not to encourage her. Maybe put the money towards some therapy for her.

newnamethanks · 20/08/2024 22:46

I can't think of anything less attractive although, on second thoughts, Laurence Fox might qualify. Ooh, in fact, Fox might treat us to one of his songs. Not worth the money but definitely worth a laugh.

ThinWomansBrain · 20/08/2024 22:52

I'd rather get one from Malcolm the cat on twitter.

GoodieMcTwoshoes · 25/08/2024 23:04

Hai I got the Farage cameo. It was pretty good, he did some ad libs to make it seem like he put more effort in.
Of course, cameos of people are not really a present, more of a greeting. So now I'll have to get her a little present as well. But I can address her happy birthday from Our Nige Grin as from my sister and me.

Aw well a lot of that is a separate issue but people can like Farage without being a full on rioter or thug (or even necessarily a racist as such.) She's 80 and doesn't get out much even to go to the shops. I don't think she's going to steal any trainers or anything. Smile

I don't think most of the thugs will be spending their cash on Reform memberships or Conference tickets to see Farage etc.

The average rioter probably doesn't even follow political figures and current events much except chatting down the pub/among their mates.

@BrownBirdWelcomesWhiteWave that was my first thought too

the5percentclub · 25/08/2024 23:56

My dd's friends got one - they are all people of colour and 17-18 - wishing them good luck for their exams and stuff. It was such an odd thing to do and dd could not really understand why we thought it was so terribly strange rather than a hoot.

AzureBlue99 · 26/08/2024 00:04

How are serving MPs allowed to do this?

Paisleydad · 26/08/2024 07:08

Naff.

ChaToilLeam · 26/08/2024 07:13

Ah, so now we see why he isn’t spending any time working for his constituency. Too busy grifting. 🙄

Americano75 · 26/08/2024 07:18

Fubarred · 20/08/2024 09:55

First thing I thought of! 😆 🤣

GCAcademic · 26/08/2024 07:19

I’m afraid I have very little sympathy for his constituents, at least not for those who voted for him. Based on his previous record as an MEP, it surely must have been clear to them that he was never going to do the work of a constituency MP. He’s a disruptor and agitator, not a worker.

Abhannmor · 26/08/2024 07:23

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 20/08/2024 10:18

I agree.

And like others I wouldn’t want to put money in his pockets or in the pockets of those like him so wouldn’t be booking this for anyone, no matter how much they loved him

I'd get one. If it was a clip of him being arrested for fraud.

You are wrong about the rioters many of them were coordinated using social media. They are excatcly the characters that follow people like Farage, Trump and Yaxley Lennon who use it to spread their messages and ideology of hate and division. Then they sit back and let the ‘rioters’ do their thing and end up in prison. While they are free to do bloody Cameos!

As a working MP he should be concentrating on his constituents and Clacton.

A Farage Cameo sounds like a mid-range family saloon from the 1980s.

Poor reliability with a flaccid gearbox.

LOL!! 😆😆😆

GCAcademic · 26/08/2024 10:27

I'll admit to being perplexed when I opened this thread. I was thinking of those nineteenth-century brooches, and when OP mentioned ordering a large one, I wondered whether the SM wanted to put one on her wall rather than on her cardi. I did wonder why she would want such a thing, and what Nigel's phiz would look like on one. Tbf, even now I know what a cameo is these days, I'm still wondering why she'd want one. And why someone who is so filthy rich would bother making these to earn (apparently) £16k a year from it. I guess it's part of his cult-building activity.

Have any of you had/ordered a Farage Cameo and how was it?

I obviously need to hone my AI image generation skills to be a bit less nightmare-fuel-generatey, but the bottom left one looks kind of close, if you squint a bit?

(Eventual prompt was, after many failures and many re-edits, "Antique cameo portrait brooch, with a monochrome white relief carving of Nigel Farage, in profile, on a green background". Unsure why it decided I wanted four of them intertwined, expressing varying degrees of existential horror, but I suppose it's somewhat apt.)

OMG, that's hilarious. Yes, the bottom left one is pretty good, not sure what it was doing with the others though!
