It's gone dark earlier tonight, it's windy, leaves flying about, and colder and I can't help but enjoy it! it's like an autumn night (my favourite season) I'm already hunting for comfy knitwear now, and can't wait to get the log burner going 😂 how exciting!

Yabu.

Scotland has had precisely 2 days warm enough to sit in the garden. We are used to poor weather but this summer takes the biscuit. High of 13 tomorrow! It's August!

DodoTired · 19/08/2024 22:01

No sorry I love hot summers

NuffSaidSam · 19/08/2024 22:01

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 19/08/2024 21:18

@NuffSaidSam Sorry to have upset you with this 'dreadfully dull topic'... it was just lighthearted 😳

I know. But the autumn/winter weather depresses so many people (not me incidentally, I'm with you). It's discussed to death on here. It always ends up in a bunfight. And it just doesn't matter what weather other people like! It's not like if enough of us like Autumn it's going to come quicker!

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 19/08/2024 21:15

I don't like hot weather (different if I am on holiday, near a pool and don't have to work full time and cook etc in it) so I am looking forward to Autumn now 😊

Same here op! Love the hot weather on holiday but not here in England, in the middle of the country with no sea and a refreshing swimming pool a few steps away, it's absolutely horrendous !

9outof10cats · 19/08/2024 22:02

I love the autumn, but the autumns I like and remember are not ones where it is always blowing a gale and pissing down with rain.

oObyeOo · 19/08/2024 22:03

yabu

i am pissed off that the weather has been so changeable. I book something a week in advance when the weather looks dry. Then 2 days before hand it’s pissing it down.

Camping is miserable, walking is miserable, gardening is miserable. I fucking hate all this rain and it makes me so sad.

I don’t even want sunshine. Just a nice consistent dry 18 degrees

MidnightPatrol · 19/08/2024 21:09

Well luckily for you, you live in a country where it’s cold and dark 8+ months of the year.

It’s 13 months a year here.

MouseofCommons · 19/08/2024 22:04

Yabu. It's been cold and dark today. My bedroom is 23° and I'm bundled up trying to get warm.

Curlewwoohoo · 19/08/2024 22:05

Nooooo my summer holiday is not until next week. Autumn needs to leave again!

Doggymummar · 19/08/2024 22:06

I've had only three days without my electric blanket on, it's been the crappiest summer in a long time. I don't mind autumn and winter cos I can out the heating on and be warm, but a few weeks of decent weather first would be nice.

I'm in Scotland too and really enjoying this autumnal weather. Feels like Halloween already!

CaptainBolt · 19/08/2024 22:06

YANBU!

Comedycook · 19/08/2024 22:08

No! Winter is so long...we have so many days of barely any daylight or warmth. This sucks

MonsteraMama · 19/08/2024 22:09

I got absolutely drowned on my dog walk this afternoon and was delighted! I've missed the horizontal rain, I'm Welsh, we need regular watering.

mynameiscalypso · 19/08/2024 22:17

I hate this kind of weather personally. It lulls you into thinking it's autumn with a nice crisp morning but by lunchtime it's warm and humid and gross. In between-y weather makes me irrationally angry.

eggandchip · 19/08/2024 22:34

I love winter time.
The nights have started to come in now we have had rain on and off windy its so nice.
I love all the weather mumnetts hates.
Storms rain wind really rough nights frost fog.
Cant stand the summer.

I think its hot at 24 -23 is okay.

WiseOwl24 · 19/08/2024 22:39

Springadorable · 19/08/2024 21:10

There's only about five days a year when it's marginally too warm for a log burner.

😂

sanityisamyth · 19/08/2024 22:41

Whoop-dee-fucking-doo. It's pissing down, getting dark earlier, trees are shutting down and the skies are grey. It's really fucking depressing and posts like yours where you're gleeful at the imminent arrival of the weather which lasts for 80% of the year is just shit.

But we’ve only had 3 days of hot weather??

Clafoutie · 19/08/2024 22:56

GoTigers · 19/08/2024 21:58

Well, I love the summer and heat and hate Christmas so I could do with autumn holding off till the end of September (and winter fucking off for good).

I’m thinking what if, like me, you dislike both summer and Christmas! ( well, not all aspects of either, but some). There’s no pleasing me! Except in May and September, both of which I love….

pambeesleyhalpert · 20/08/2024 22:15

Same i love it. This has also been the best summer ever!

StarDolphins · 20/08/2024 22:18

NuffSaidSam · 19/08/2024 21:11

No of course YANBU to like any type of weather.

You're unreasonable to start a AIBU thread on such a dreadfully dull topic! Like whatever weather you want, no-one cares!

You care that she cares though? Is it not dreadfully dull to take time out of your day just to say nothing of substance? You could’ve just scrolled past this very boring thread.

Rude too.

StarDolphins · 20/08/2024 22:19

I would just like a bit more of summer, just a few weeks. I like all the seasons though.

More like 11.5 months of the year.
