Do you send a thank you email after you have been interviewed for a potential position? I have one next week, first one in years so I dont really know what is expected for this.

I would , keep it brief tho .
Ie
Thankyou for your time on x date , it was very nice to meet you / team.
If there is any more information/ questions / examples of my work / copies of qualifications you would like please feel free to email or phone me on xxxxx .

It more about reminding them about who you are and your contact details than anything else.

Emails get lost / deleted / ignored in a busy inbox.

What about a short, handwritten note if you want to remain memorable?

Pop it in the postbox on your way out

I wouldn't myself, but I doubt it's any harm to do so

It's never crossed my mind to do this.

Do you already work for the company and will be interviewing internally?

McSpoot · 18/08/2024 00:33

I send one to everyone that was in the interview (in my recent job search, I had interviews for three roles and all of them had multiple interviewers). I'd say at least 75% of people responded, so they were read (I wasn't expecting a response, but many sent something like "it was nice meeting you").

I do them for internal interviews too.
