Those who drive through red lights where a camera is present

Why? Do they want 3 points on licence and £100 fine?

Seen about 15 vehicles over 4 junctions in two days doing this.

They don't know the camera is there.

IncompleteSenten · 16/08/2024 14:29

I assume they are taking a chance on them being dummy cameras.

Cloned plates.

They probably haven't spotted the camera. My SIL got 3 points doing this. She almost lost her license as she had only just gone past the time of having another 3 points removed for speeding.

And her added up points would have taken her over the limit 🙄. She's really not the best drive.

They know the camera is switched off, perhaps.

I always wonder this with the lorries that ignore 50 limits on motorways when there are roadworks, I can only think they know the cameras aren't operating.

Judging from the speed limit thread, it's no big deal and lights are probably just a guide anyway.

Inexperienced drivers? I accidentally jumped the light last week. There is awkward junction and I was turning right so my attention was on traffic either side of me. As soon as you complete the maneuver, there is a crossing and the light was red but, by the time I spotted it, it was unsafe to break. It happens and I learned my lesson. I don't think there was a camera there but it's not important. I wouldn't deliberately jump the red light with or without one.
