To ask how you find a decent Botox practitioner…

Posting here for traffic…

Is there not some sort of register where you can look up local medical professionals who administer Botox? How do you find a decent practitioner?

I have fine lines & dark under eye circles which I’m becoming self conscious about & I’d really like to sit down with someone suitably qualified to discuss my options.

I have friends who go to their hairdresser / beautician who essentially appear to have done a weekend course of some sort & now offer Botox?! They just seem to whack it in without much thought / discussion & I really want to go to someone who’s better trained in the field (dermatologist or dentist perhaps?) & gives it all a bit more consideration 😕 but I don’t know where to start…

Have you tried normal ways to improve the appearance of your skin?
A good skin care routine, drinking plenty of water, plenty of exercise, enough sleep, and a healthy diet all do wonders for yours skin.

Dentists are a good place to start, lots of dentists now offer botox and they’re experts in facial anatomy.

Get one who's a dentist. They know how to stick needles in your face without paralysing a nerve.

Agree with the above, my dentist does mine and she is amazing.

There is a voluntary register - two I think - if you search something like cosmetic and register you may find it.

Absolutely. Use a dentist.

Go to www.thetweakmentguide.com
It's run by Alice Hart-Davies who is a beauty journalist of 20 years standing and researches practitioners before recommending them. I have fillers reconstructively following extensive (necessary) surgery and I found mine through her. He's great. Good place to start, anyway.
