Time to replace bathroom suite

I'm getting my bathroom suite replaced and being quoted at best a full weeks work, I think this is excessive and I'm pretty sure I could do it myself in less time!

To be clear, this is a like for like swap of a toilet, pedestal hand basin and bath with NO shower, There is no tiling or anything else needed except the existing laminate flooring is coming up and being replaced with lino. This ground floor so laid straight onto concrete.

I have bought everything needed.

I honestly don't see how this will take more than 2 days. First day water off, drain everything, lift flooring, remove existing pedestal, bath & toilet, temporary fit new toilet (only 1 bathroom). 2nd day fit new sink & bath, permanent fit toilet, lay lino. Make good.

I get things may come up like seized pipes that might delay slightly but seriously, a week?!!

That does seem a long time. Are there any pipe moves? Even slightly differences in measurement could mean pipe moves... what about the radiator...? Is there any carpentry if you are changing a standard toilet to a back to the wall?

We have just fitted our own ensuite albeit we got someone in to tile it. We had similar reasons in so far as we could afford the £3,500 labour we were quoted but it seemed a lot and every trade person we've had in recently has failed to start on time, turns up when they feel like it etc. it's been better doing it on our own timetable.

A week does sound a bit excessive. I've just done my en-suite which was a complete strip out, pipe moves, small tiles on all walls (took ages) and that was all done in 9 days. No decorating.

Pretty sure there won't be any pipe moves needed and no carpentry. It really "should" be a straight forward like for like swap 🤷

Radiator isn't being moved.
