I can’t sleep. I have really intense pain in my tooth/gum. It’s effecting all of the right side of my mouth. It’s the worse tooth ache I’ve ever had. My cheeks, jaw, neck everything hurts😭😭 my dentist went private and I can’t afford it. Don’t know what to do but this has been going on 2 weeks and has got worse 😭😭

This was me on Sunday OP. I had the emergency dentist and it cost me £21 to remove. (Antibiotics too but they’re free where I am). The only relief I got was ambesol liquid. I was crying with the pain. I’m day 3 into tooth removal (molar) and still quite painful but nothing like the toothache was. Ask just for a quote for removal - no treatments to save the tooth.

Ibrufen 400mg also took some of the edge off but it was still agony. It’s an anti-inflammatory. If you’re not allergic to it alternate that, paracetomol, ambesol & bonjella and get on hold to 111! Don’t suffer like I did. It was torture.

Clove oil is irritant, acidic and has high allergic potential. It can burn through gum down to bone . If you want to see examples of eugenol burns (clove oil is Eugenol) have a look here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4541370/

please do not advise clove oil , put it in the bin where it belongs.

Not read the full thread but I've been there with tooth ache. Glad you've got some advice from a dentist. If you're struggling to sleep try sleeping propped up a little on some pillows, it help me with the pain a lot for some reason. Some good rest really helped! And gargling salt water.
