To think fear of transport is taking over my life?

This might sound dramatic but my anxiety around public transport is through the roof.

I cant get on the tube, hate boats, and I fly soon and I've been awake the last 2 nights and vomited a few times at the thought of it.

I only ironically feel safe in my car when I'm driving.

The troubling thing is that people tell you to trust your gut, my gut tells me stay home in bubble wrap where I am safe!

At the same time I want to experience new places.

Any coping mechanisms?

Yes they will, go and speak to your GP OP.

No, many will not. Because it is unsafe and airlines do not want unconscious or aggressive passengers on their flights

Not all doctors give diazepam now, as the guidelines have changed, and it’s no longer recommended.

Hey @Seashore07 I also feel like this about planes. Booking the aisle seat will definitely help! I did that two days ago

The most difficult part of the flight for feeling trapped was after we landed and we had to wait and queue onboard while the plane was connected to the airport so we could disembark. Think it was a 15 min wait.

BUT the freedom afterwards was just simply lovely! ❤️ I basically glided all the way to Passport Control at Gatwick as it was so quiet 😂

My top tip is to only sip water because plane toilets are very small and I was too scared to go in there for 7 hours.

Thanks for your reply @Excanadiangoose . Oh yes I hate waiting to get out but love the buzz of freedom too.

My favourite words from the captain are 'cabin crew prepare for landing'. Hate going up and the middle part. Then descending I'm okay normally as I know its nearly over.

@Seashore07 don't worry, I have fear for flying. This is despite of the fact that I flew thousand of miles professionally Certain incidents during flight didn't help. But I spare you details. I prefer a train journey and take a sleeper train to South of France
