My experience with head injuries with my accident prone toddlers. 2 incidents which involved seeing a Dr-

About 13 months DD was pushed off a toddler slide (taller than back of the sofa). And landed on her forehead. She had a routine GP appointment that afternoon. So asked the GP to review and they were not even slightly concerned.

At 18 months DD jumped off a dining chair and hit her head on a door frame. An "egg" came up immediately. Then a few mins later whilst having a cuddle she fell asleep and I couldn't wake her. However she had been at a Christmas party all day and missed her nap. So at 4.30pm she was shattered, although she takes ages to settle to sleep normally. I phoned NHS 111 due to not being able to wake her. They arranged an ambulance. Half an hour later (still waiting for ambulance) she woke up saw her sisters eating dinner and asked for her dinner. She then sat and ate her dinner. I called the ambulance to say I think she's fine but advised she still needed to be seen. After 4 hours of her racing around A&E the Dr advised that sleeping when it's nap/bedtime isn't much of a concern. Concerns are vomitting or seizures. And means it was by then 9pm told me to take her home to bed.

But only you know what's unusual for your child.

Ring 111 if not sure, but mine took a head first dive off the bed the other day. Cried for about 30 seconds but was easily comforted and was absolutely fine after her nap. They just get so clumsy when tired!! But they are definitely hardier than we give them credit for.
