Remember when a white man went on a stabbing spree in Hainault in April and killed a young black boy?

Or when a white man walked round Plymouth with a shotgun and killed 5 (including a 3yo girl). Where were the "protests" then? Stony silence from this lot.

Or the (white) thug that barged into poor Olivia's home chasing his rival and shot her dead.

What we are seeing has less to do with poverty and everything to do with full on racism. All this sociological analysis of poverty/feeling left behind is a cover for their down right racism. You could each of them a million pounds and they would still have HATE in their heart for ‘foreigners’ born here or from boats.

The King is forbidden from getting involved in Politics of any kind. Power has been taken away from them over the centuries. Bite by bite their role has been reduced and the power transferred to the Government of the day.
He will be keeping himself fully up to date.
Tony Blair mentioned in his diaries how he kept the Queen informed of events.

Poor Charlie, they won't give him anything important to do so he has no choice but to spend his time focusing on making himself even more wealthy.

@Werweisswohin I've seen comments saying that Nigeria and Malaysia have. The Nigerian one just advises caution and avoiding political rallies and protests, as well as large crowds.

They haven't advised against travel, it's more of a FYI.

I've just had a Muslim member of my team ask whether she can work from home until it all settles down as she's too scared to catch the bus into the office. Of course I said yes but I'm so angry and sad that she's had to do that.

I have just seen a video of a little girl about 10 years old walking hand in hand with her mother chanting “Pak** OUT” over and over again. Faces clear as day with the mother laughing. What mother uses a child in that way?

Can you share a link to it please?

This guy was hit by his own like. He’ll end up going to the hospital and being treated by mostly a ‘foreign’ doctor.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 05/08/2024 13:23

They were looking for an excuse, and in effect egged on by bad actors, including far right MPs. Goodness knows what "Tommy Robinson" (self styled) and his ilk put on Telegram, as I don't have it.

No one protested when the soldier was recently stabbed in the back 🤔... I don't understand your point.

After many riots and protests from blm/ pro Palestine, Manchester/ Rochdale. Why are these bothering you?

Today in Bolton with 200 Asian men running around screaming God is great has been enriching 😂

"Enriching" ??

The racists code word. No longer so coded. You'll need another.

I work in Health care and the number of times I come across far right patients who think they are better than me and I’ve stolen their job. I had to go to university to earn my degree. How we are stealing their jobs I have no idea. I didn’t migrate to the United Kingdom. They just chose not to study and get a good career. Probably relying on handoffs.

My dd did work experience at a GP surgery and she was humbled and inspired by the incredible care and compassion shown by a black nurse to even the vilest of racist patients. She had so much admiration for that woman, and will no doubt remember her when she encounters racist patients of her own in the years to come.

Thank you for doing what you do.

Sadly the people who are rioting just need an excuse anything will do
I for one have no sympathy for them - so they feel poor, neglected and left behind.
So what -
I care less about their own situation with every window they break and every racist name they shout

No-one is protesting. Some people are using it as an excuse to have a riot

This ^ 100%
Just some bored thugs testing the new governments response to their radical views.

Are you talking about the EDL or the counter protests?

I was a part of the counter protest in Bristol and I'm glad I was, we made it very clear that they weren't welcome here and we outnumbered them massively. No rioting involved.

FiveFoxes · 05/08/2024 13:39

It's definitely racism - they don't care that the 17 yr old attacker was born in Britain, they are just interested in him parents being immigrants and his skin colour. That's those who have moved on from the initial lies about him coming over in a boat. I don't think they'd care even if it was his grandparents or great grandparents who were immigrants.

But it is poverty too. It is people who feel hard done by who riot. It doesn't cause racism, but it fuels it.

I have been looking at Facebook profiles on those in my area who support the riots. They are largely people who have been sharing armed forces/ remembrance day/ England football things for years and years. They also seem to all have loved Boris, but moved onto Farage (no love for Rishi, strangely enough). And were in favour of a no-deal Brexit. They were massively pro staying at home at the beginning of COVID, but then became anti vaccines, masks and restrictions. Some veer widely into conspiracy theories too.

DancefloorAcrobatics · 05/08/2024 13:46

@BeEasyonYourself Obviously EDL ... I'm not against protests.

It's the rioters that I despise. It's a small group of people who will need to be stopped by police (government) ASAP. Otherwise we'll see a lot more of this shit in the near future.

They were pathetic. They were throwing empty bottles and cans at my husband and others and when I called them out on it (the adrenaline had kicked in) they literally ran away! OK tough guy 😅
