Mouth ulcers

I suffer from really bad mouth ulcers particularly when I'm run down. Always have done. Just something I'm prone to. Currently have a nasty one on the left hand side of my tongue and also in my left inner cheek. They are making me feel rotten. So so tired which is probably because my body is fighting the infection. But I've also noticed my left ear is hurting. I wondered if it's possible for a mouth ulcer to spread to the ear? I've had it before where my glands have been swollen and sore and often had headaches with them but never earache. The earache came on with the ulcers though so it would make sense.
I'm hoping to see a doctor to get it checked but we go abroad on Friday and I'm really worried that I could be harbouring an ear infection that might flare up when we're away.
Anything linked to mouth ulcers tends to disappear when they start to clear up so I'm hoping that's what happens as I'd really like to avoid antibiotics if possible ( they play havoc with my stomach which also isn't ideal for going away).
I've had an ear infection before and the pain was crippling and constant which this isn't, more like a dull ache that goes on and off.
Has anyone else had anything like this?

Low B12 can contribute to frequent mouth ulcers, if you get them so frequently it might be worth asking for a blood test. No clue about the ear, sorry.

I actually got some B12 vitamins yesterday as I'm so tired so hopefully they will help clear the ulcers up too if this is the case. Usually the ulcers will clear up in a week so not overly worried about them even though it's miserable at the minute.
More concerned about the ear, never experienced this with mouth ulcers before.

Neither my husband nor I have had a mouth ulcer (13 years now) since changing our toothpaste to one without SLS. Have suggested this to a few other people and it's also helped.
Ulcers are miserable and can cause referred pain. I'd obviously suggest asking a dentist for their opinion as well as looking at diet etc. Wishing you the best.
