Your thoughts on paddling pools?

I love the idea of them. Seeing kids happily playing all day in their own garden. In reality they give me the ick. How do you keep them clean? We also have dogs that would probably attack/pop them.
Is it easier to just take the kids swimming or to a public paddling pool?

Sounds like an unruly dog isn’t helping! I wouldn’t have a paddling pool that blows up-they were always rubbish.

We loved them when our kids were young-would only keep the water a couple of days though, as it doesn’t stay clean for long. I used to put a towel down for them to walk on before they got in to attempt to mitigate the amount of grass going in the water!
