To ask for your stories of when a horrible manager has actually come unstuck?

I have a truly horrible manager and the one above her is just as bad. They bully people, are always on a power trip and out to get the loveliest members of the team. I'm leaving this team in the autumn so I've sucked it up but this week has been really, really hard and I was hoping for your light hearted stories of a manager coming unstuck ( nothing too awful! I don't wish badly on people ) to cheer me up. I just want to know it's possible that people like this don't get away with it forever!

Not a boss but my MP tried to get me sacked after I took him on over false claims. He emailed the HR head of the company I worked for claiming all sorts of lies.

My company stood by me, but the while investigation in my alleged wrongdoing was extremely stressful.

He lost his lucrative MP role last month, and I think you could hear my cheer from the next county. Maybe even France.

I am one of a team of 7 managers in the service area, I’m the youngest by 6 years and have been in post for 6 months, promoted from a junior position. The other 6 peer managers of mine have all been in post anywhere from 4-15 years. Several of them are giving me somewhat of a hard time at the moment for various reasons but I’m very over their passive aggressive approach and expectations that I am too young/inexperienced for the role whilst simultaneously not helping me learn. Being kind costs nothing and I can’t wait for them to realise that eventually.

I (aged then about 25) had a new boss who came from another branch. His reputation preceded him.
Christmas meal, he insisted I sat next to him. Of course the lecherous old chap just wanted to bed any woman that would have him. Don't think he realised a) I knew that and b) I had spent my late teens/early 20s working behind a bar so could rebuff anyone. So he decided that he didn't want to take no for an answer and that I would be visiting his room after the meal.
I can't actually remember what insult /put down I shut him up with - it was polite but to the point and slightly amusing, along the lines of if he was insulting my intelligence if he thought I would be interested in a chap more than twice my age, and that he wouldn't be able to keep up anyway (I was very fit swimmer in those days), but, being sat next to the biggest office gossip on my other side, the accounts department thought it hilarious. He struggled to show his face in there for a good few weeks after because this titter of gossip went round the room.
He wasn't happy and made things tricky, so I got another job and he thought he got the last laugh when I left - by thanking me for my leaving letter dated xxx (a week earlier) in his reply and confirming my leaving date to be just prior to Easter and thus taking the Easter weekend and 1st May bank holiday out of my notice period. What he forgot was that the company had changed the holiday entitlement since I'd started in a different branch of the company to in arrears and that meant they paid me for a whole month that I supposedly had in hand (which I knew I didn't have in hand, meaning I got effectively 21 days extra pay I wasn't really entitled to).

Have never asked for it back nearly 40 years later and company no longer exists.

Had an absolute bitch of a line manager who accused me of something despite multiple witnesses telling her it wasn’t true. Her immediate boss believed her and made me jump through ridiculous hoops, to the point that I felt I just had to leave. A mate kept me updated and she pissed everyone off so much she eventually had to leave. Somebody who used to work with her and couldn’t stand her is starting soon at my current job. Might be interesting!

Omg that is disgraceful. I'm glad he's out on his ear!
