Partner not taking responsibility for health gives me ick

Does anyone else have partner that gives them the ick.

Who never takes responsibility for fillings, heart attack?

Can anyone else related to this?

They think I am nasty for calling them out on it, when they come out with statements that push responsibility onto others

Eg. My parents didn't tell me sweets were bad for my teeth.

"I don't/ didn't have time to brush my teeth in the morning." (just found this one out). I am too tired to floss them. Been together for years, and recently found out that he hasn't been brushing teeth in the morning.

I wouldn't like it if my DH smoked, drank lots of alcohol or ate excessively. It would give me the ick. I would also dislike my partner not brushing his teeth in the morning. That said, sometimes fillings happen even if you have good oral hygiene.

I agree fillings sometimes are needed anyways. Just finding it hard to be sympathetic for dental work needed, when they haven't been doing general day to day brushing and flossing.
