To think this double barrelled name will sound odd

So we’re sorting DS surname , we’re not married.

My last name is Indian and DP‘s is english.

would it be strange to double barrel the names?
Has anyone else done this?

Yep. I was just curious to see what the poster thought was the answer. Since their response was "traditional way". I'm guessing they have no clue how any of this works.
