Would you eat fish pie mix 1 day out of date?

Sorry, posted for traffic!

Bought fish pie mix a few days ago, put it in fridge and just pulled it out to make a fish pie and it's use by yesterday's date!

Do I use it or bin it? Paranoid as I'm feeding it to my 14 month old as well as me and DH!

I'll eat most things after a day but never fish or seafood

I would but without telling DH who seems to think food goes bad at midnight the day before the use by date.

No. I eat everything beyond dates if it seems OK, but I would draw the line at fish. I don't even buy it yellow sticker as that's at the very end of its life. It tastes and smells so unpleasant. I'm convinced I didn't dream Johnny Vegas saying one of his life's maxims is, as his Nana told him "you can cook the bad out of meat but you can't out of fish".

Normally I’m quite cavalier with BBE dates but Fish pie mix is the only thing to have ever given me food poisoning. It was in date and smelt fine. I made it for my DH and I and my son who was about 18mo at the time (was also his favourite dinner!) He (luckily) point blank refused it on this occasion. We were so, so ill. They say we grow out of our instincts to avoid ingesting harmful food, this proved that to me! That was years and years ago but never eaten fish pie since. You’ve probably decided by now anyway so hope you’re ok 😂

No! My parents were microbiologists so I was raised in fear. I really wouldn’t feed
it to my toddler through
