Feeling fed up that I'm stuck in work most of the summer. I am in a new ish job , so stuck on base holiday allowance.
Had to write a spreadsheet of DDs childcare schedule and stick it on the fridge. I have about 6 days off in the whole 7 weeks (odd days not together).
Dropped her off at MILs the other day, it was a beautiful sunny day and they were off to a petting zoo/park and I felt sad I couldn't be there. She's at holiday club today. I miss her!
Job not very well paid and doesn't feel like it's worth missing all these weeks for!
I have never been able to WFH.
Wondered if there's many others in the same position?

It sucks but unfortunately an awful lot of parents are in the same boat. We have 2 weeks off but apart from that will be working.
I don't know anyone apart from SAHP, teachers or people on term time only contracts who don't work most of the summer holidays.
Today my DC are with my parents.
And yes I can WFH, but that does actually mean working not skiving having a lovely time with the DC for 6 weeks!
