AIBU to think that this not a great idea, and worse than that is contrary to the mantra of being a "Government of service..." by riding roughshod over environmental and planning concerns. It's also doing exactly what they quite rightly criticised Conservatives for attempting to do.
I know that they see more building (in places people don't want to live, in houses they don't want to live in, with builders that don't exist) as the silver bullet, but really, is a complete disregard for the environment sensible?
