I'm disabled but have been trying to sort out two bedrooms. I've not needed clothes, rarely used single duvets in a guest room where I've bought a double bed so don't need them. I've broken, outgrown toys that the grandchildren no longer want.

I've four adults staying this weekend so am buying new bedding for one bedroom which the grandchildren use.

Round here it's one place for clothes, another for bedding, the rest going to the tip. So three different places in three areas.

I'm just looking at all the black sacks thinking how the heck do I get them down two steps along the passage, up five steps to where the car is, drive to three locations and hump them in while using a stick.

What I wouldn't give for a man in a van who could sweep them away.

No wonder people hoard sigh,.....

Should I just suck it up and crack on?

I've never met two of them and I'm not expecting them to arrive to a hallway full of black bags to get rid of for me over the weekend. They're guests. How odd of you to suggest that.

No wonder people hoard and never have guests

Wow - so you couldnt just say "I've made space to make your room nice, could you help me take these to x,y,z please?"

If you cant ask them that then I would withdraw my invitation

There are charities who will collect bags of belongings from you eg anglodoorstepcollections.co.uk

But I agree I'd ask the adults coming to help!

Phone a charity and get them to collect all. However if it's stressing you that much just bin it. I know wasteful but your mental health is worth more.
