Can’t regulate emotions AT ALL before my period

I’m honestly awful. I say the most awful things and I feel angry. Truly angry. Then 48 hours later I am a different person. Is there medication for this? I hate it when it happens, I can tell every time but I still can’t stop myself with the anger. I full on swore at someone blocking my drive which I would never have done had it been another day of the month. I might not have been happy about it but I wouldn’t have made such a scene.

I had this and thought it was normal and I was exceptionally bad at controlling 'normal' mood fluctuations. It was until I had my second child that I registered pregnancy had been a blissful relief. Tried the coil etc, and it didn't work for me. In desperation, I agreed to take Sertraline daily and it totally changed my life. Just recently learned this was a recommended treatment for PMDD, which is what I now think I suffered from.

Interestingly, I was prescribed HRT (in addition to Sertraline) because of headaches and joint pain. Oh my god!! The mood swings came back full force. I don't know what to do there.
