To think LIDL's deciin to remove the shoulder handle on their bags for life was made by a man?

I probably am but honestly, this is just another example of the decline in our civilisation. I am very weak and struggle to carry shopping in ordinary hand carrier bags. Most supermarkets just have regular handles on their bags for life so, imo, LIDL's were massively superior in providing two handle options. I use them everywhere, and refuse any other bags.

However, the other day I went out without my BFL and was forced to spend 65p on a new one in LIDL. I assumed I was given a reject as it only had small handles. I called the manager even. But no, it turns out the new stock has only regular handles. Why? Cost reasons, I imagine. But seriously, is it only me who has to carry heavy things in a shoulder bag?

That's why I think the decision was made by a man. They seem to be happy to carry everything in their hands.

Anyway, when LIDL stop blahing on about the euros, I plan to send them a complaint on social media. 😡

If not a decision by a man, definitely a decision by someone who's never actually carried their shopping home, but usually just packs it in the trolley, then puts it in the car, drives home, and then carries it from the drive into the house!

Carrying a full bag for life even 100m is difficult with the short handles!

If you're near an M&S i got one of their Percy Pig shopping bags recently and they have short and long handles on them

I use IKEA bags. One for chilled, one for ambient. Hoik them over my shoulder to carry into the house.

But the shoulder handles are a total pain because when you're carrying the bag with the normal handles (as most people do) they just get in the way. So well done Mr Lidl, good decision!

That's when a pair of scissors come in handy,I snipped off the long handles.
