This weather has made me feel so Christmassy lately, autumn can’t come soon enough 😄 I’d far rather a shit summer like this than the current temps in parts of Europe!

I’m worried this is it now for British summers because of climate change. I am mainlining vitamin D!

My patio needs power washing because it looks disgusting. I normally do this in fine weather in shorts but haven't had the chance to do so yet.

I’ve worn my sandals twice this year. You can also see it getting a wee bit darker that bit earlier. However, my bet is that we have a fabulous September.

Am I the only person who really doesn't mind a summer without sunshine? I absolutely love the long light days without hot temps. I am terrible with heat of any kind! I can be really productive and active when temps are around 22 or 23. I just love it and don't mind the rain or cool evenings!

I did notice that the nights are drawing in slightly though and I do find that a bit depressing!

I was wondering what impact this has on garden furniture manufacturers. I was in a garden centre yesterday where patio set type stuff was 40% discounted.

"We haven't had a summer since 2022 but we are absolutely guaranteed a winter. Guaranteed."

Where do you live? June last year was glorious, absolutely baking (I'm in the north but remember my southern friends saying the same).

I don't think anyone is asking for baking hot temperatures, and the days don't feel long and light because the skies are so grey. Some sun and dry weather is what people want , to be able to enjoy time outside, for events not to be cancelled, not to be putting the heating on in July, amongst other reasons.

Not me, but a relative who is said it's the first time he's expecting total crop failure.

I agree to an extent – I hate blazing hot weather – but most days the temp has been below 20! It's July!

It’s 16th July. Not half way through.

This year has gone SO fast for me.

Ours needs doing too but DH hasn’t bothered because we haven’t had a good run of dry days.
we can’t keep on top of the weeds on the drive either, the wet weather means it looks like a garden!

Not so much about the weather, but once we are into July properly, summer starts to disappear.
I hate the heat waves but can't stand rainy windy weather.
No wind and cloudy is great for me.
Time in general since 2021 has gone crazy fast!

A year is like 3 months as you get older!
