I don't find it funny either. It's "OMG" but not in an entertaining way.
I can't understand why he won't stand aside - is it arrogance that he genuinely thinks no-one would be a better president than him? Or can he not see the gaffs and understand that the Democrats will lose the election because Democratic supporters will just not vote for him and therefore Trump wins almost by default?
It's all very well being able to make it though last night but it was a tightly controlled event that he would have been carefully prepped for. And he still got major things wrong. What happens if there's a terrorist attack in the middle of the night? How's he going to cope with that and make decisions that could mean whether people live or die when he already says "I gotta pace myself more" and has to go to bed at 8pm?
Given the way that the US system works with regards the president elect/inauguration, he'd still be POTUS in January 2029 if he won this year. How can anyone see the decline in the last few years and think this is feasible?
