I can't believe that after intentionally driving at a man AND HIS FIVE YEAR OLD, and then reversing to drive at him AGAIN, this man has been sentenced to only four and a half years in prison! Surely that counts as attempted murder?

I assume because the man was uninjured and the child luckily only suffered cuts and bruises

But surely the intention counts more than the outcome? If I plan to poison someone and I mix the poison incorrectly, meaning they are unharmed, surely that still counts as attempted murder?

No because murder was not his 'intent'

Despite what you and I think. That was a few paragraphs of a report

Courts and police will have full story

What did I just read? That poor little girl! I’m so glad she wasn’t seriously injured (physically at least), but if she had fallen differently it could’ve been a very different outcome.
The prison sentence is one thing, but only a four year and 10 month driving ban? He should never be allowed to drive again, surely?
