To ask how to respond to student struggling with mental health

I am aware this might be a dumb question, but I am autistic and struggle to know what is the appropriate way to act most of the time.

I teach on an online coding course for women who want to career switch into tech, I just received a message from a student "I just thought I'd drop you a message as I'm currently a bit behind on the work for the course as I've been struggling with my mental health this past week or so. I'm aiming to catch up on things over the weekend, would I be able to send you some of the homework then?"

Do I just reply saying "of course you can send me the homework then, no problem" or do I need to respond something about her mental health? If so, what?

Is the course run by a company/body/school or just by you? If you’re hired by someone or volunteer with an organisation I’d consult with them in case they have any policies or helpful links or supports that can be given to the student.

Otherwise it’s fine to say ‘Hi, I appreciate you letting me know. It’s perfectly fine to submit the homework this weekend. Hope you are feeling OK today and looking after yourself.’

Thank you so much, I will do this
