DD got ill eating packed lunch that spoiled in the heat in an hour in their bag. I had no idea food cold spoil so quickly. DP said they knew and were going to put it in a cool bag but forgot. They blame me coz I said it wasnt possible. But f they knew and forgot its on them right? DD is recovering ok

They are both blaming each other though

I think this is very unlikely unless you’ve sent someone out with a bag of prawns/ 3 day old chicken in 30 degree heat for 6 hours etc. Something like a sandwich etc with cheese or peanut butter would be fine. And honestly if it were that toxic being in an insulated lunch bag rather than a fridge probably wouldn’t make much difference.

U messed up take responsibility, u rnt two so don’t play the blame game.

You’re worse for starting this thread! Food went bad, DD got ill and you’re here bickering over whose fault it is! Why does it have to be anyone’s fault?

The food did not go bad in an hour, she’s picked up a bug. As it is, even if one of you accidentally did make her sick and you were able to prove who it was, what would you do with the information? Use it as a stick to beat the other one with? People make mistakes, this relationship sounds unpleasant to say the least.
