Landlord only provided one set of keys, cheeky to ask to cover cost of two?

We have just moved in to our new home, it’s a 3 bed and it’s me, my partner and two children who live here. The landlord has only provided us with one front door key. Now at first I was a bit like meh, whatever. But after having been to get a new one cut today and it costing almost £30 I’m feeling a little miffed. Is it unreasonable to ask for the landlord to cover the cost? I just don’t get how it would have worked practically with one key when we are both in and out of the house at seperate times most days.

Just ask if you can have another set of keys?

I'd change the barrel on the lock for your own lock with two keys.

Keep the other barrel and one key then put it back in on the day you leave the property.

Who knows how many tenants the property has had and therefore how many keys...

Yeah I have written on this thread already that we’ve been trying to get a hold of the estate agents regarding a second key and other issues with the house for over a week now and have heard nothing back. Have sent 3 emails and tried calling and calling.. forever told someone will get back to us and nothing.

When we moved into the place we are renting, we were given one set of keys and add to pay for another set cutting ourselves. I was told this was normal. We have a house we rent our elsewhere and the agency for that house make us provide one set of keys per tenant.
