and seller states that p+p is not just stamp cost its petrol, wrapping and their time. This i know but I think it's wrong to make a profit out of p+p. Sorry rant over. i don't want to leave negative feedback, what does anyone elsse think?

Last time I sold on ebay they took 10% of the total selling price plus p&p so 10% of what the seller pays. Postage costs could be a little higher to recover some of that plus it does cost petrol, sellotape, packaging and the thing that some buyers don't appreciate and that is TIME. Also if the person in the post office can squidge that packet through the large letter space then it ends up costing less than expected, so if the seller states £3.50 because that's the usual cost of a small parcel but it goes through the large letter thingy it costs less.

It's not profit if they have to pay for the packaging, petrol etc Hmm

Yabu. Packaging into free you know. You know postage and packing cost before. People forget about packaging. Dh just used a whold role of tape on one large item so £1 for the tape
